Hotel Meade and Skinners Saloon in Bannack, Montana. Founded on an 1862 gold discovery in Grasshopper Creek, Bannack is one of the best-preserved ghost towns in the American West and is now a state park.

Western author and artist Frank Bird Linderman (1869-1938) ran an assay office, newspaper and store in the building at right circa 1900, when it was in Sheridan, Montana.
