This cabin was used in its younger days as the homestead of the Starrett family in the 1953 western classic, "Shane". It is on the edge of Grand Teton National Park near Jackson, Wyoming.
This is what is left of the Starrett homestead in the 1953 movie. It is where the family played by Van Heflin, Jean Arthur and the young Brandon deWilde took in a guest, played by Alan Ladd, who rode in from the prairie. It is located north of Jackson, Wyoming, just inside Grand Teton National Park.
